    Angle: 60°
    V-opening: 10mm
    Height:80 mm
    Load:Max T/m=50.
    Material:42CrMo, 650 - 800 N/mm

    Die Feature
Single V tooling and double V tooling has only one or two tooling grooves, which is very common in CNC press brake and has high precision. Multi-V lower toolings are mostly square toolings with multiple tooling grooves on four surfaces of different sizes. The advantage is that there are many tooling grooves and it can adapt to the bending of various thick plates.

  • Description
  • Managing Tool Wear
The concentrated load during flattening bending causes significant wear on the working surface of the Hemming Tool. To counteract this, premium Press Brake Tooling often utilizes specialized surface treatments, such as nitriding or specific coatings, to enhance surface hardness and reduce abrasion. Effective wear management is key to maintaining the precision and tooling lifespan of the Flattening Tool in continuous, high-volume sheet metal fabrication environments.

Preventing Cracking During the Flattening Bending
Successful use of a Hem Die requires careful assessment of the material's ductility and minimum bend radius limits. While the initial acute bend sets the stage, the final, intense flattening bending stroke is where cracking is most likely to occur, especially with materials exhibiting low elongation. Fabricators must ensure the material's properties are compatible with the severity of the hem, preventing costly scrap rate and guaranteeing the structural rigidity of the finished hem.
