  •
    Air bending force
Required press force at 90° air bending, force in ton/mtr.

The charts below give the appropriate tonnage to air bend mild steel.

    Bending force for other metals:
Soft aluminium Tons per unit length x 50%
Aluminium alloys heat treated Tons per unit length x 100%
Stainless Tons per unit length x 150%

  • Description
  • Preserving Reference Points
While achieving a scratch-free surface, the rolling process is still firm enough to allow certain pre-applied material markings (such as laser-etched lines or scribe marks used for alignment in subsequent processes) to remain intact. Unlike high-friction dragging, which can smear or obscure these marks, the gentle roll of the Rolla-V Die ensures that critical reference points are preserved, simplifying the workflow and maintaining part repeatability throughout the entire sheet metal fabrication line.

    Reduced Material Tearing
When forming thin or brittle materials, the dragging friction of a standard die can induce excessive tension, leading to micro-tears or distortion in the part's web area adjacent to the bend. The smooth, minimal-tension flow provided by the Rolla-V Die eliminates this issue. The tool gently guides the material, guaranteeing a clean bend transition and making it the ideal press brake tooling choice for high-precision forming of fragile or thin-gauge components.
